If the weather is going to be very cold, we'll use the same setup as earthdance 07. We'll make sure it's comfortable. As Nate suggested, long johns are a must. Proper preparations, people. :-) Ncn is an amazingly BEAUTIFUL place in the fall.

it won't snow--- worst case is rain, and we're planning on using the same setup as Earthdance that was there in 2008 regardless of weather. We'll keep the dancefloor(s) warm and cozy all weekend. Plan on jeans/hoodie. This is definitely going to be the most epic way to end the 2009 outdoor season. Now if I can just find a venue for the winter solstice since our indoor venue burned down... |

I don't know if you were already planning this, but idea if you're keeping the mainstage outdoors: fires near the dancefloor are nice, but a big fire in the middle of the dancefloor is even better. It might seem a little iffy safety-wise, but it really isn't a big deal. If you have some people who know what they are doing and can watch it and keep it raging most of the night, everyone can dance around it and it keeps the whole dancefloor warm. They do this in the desert with accelerator fires in Cali and it works really well. Kinda makes a nice homey, comforting atmosphere that takes the edge off of everything being super dark and cold.
