First off, id like to thank everyone who came out for making the event a smashing success. That was a shitload of work and tons of stress, but it's all worth it when you see all that conentrated positive energy in one building. Nothing warms my heart like seeing a completly random sample of people going crazy to ridiculously fast music. Second, I'd like to apologize for the sound issues on the second stage. Even with two generators, it was hard to keep it running. Turned out there was a janky power conditioner and once we got that out of the way we were able to turn it up a bit again. If we use the venue again, we're going to upgrade the power so there won't be any issues in the future. A huge THANK YOU to all the performers for rocking it and providing top notch entertainment for the evening. It gives me great pleasure to be able to provide a musical outlet for some of the people that get overlooked in this town. I really think that variety is the key to keeping our scene vibrant and you all definitely brought your own flavor. An even bigger thank you to Those of you who helped out. These events really would not be possible without volunteers. We have a staff of 3 and everyone else is helping purely out of love for the event. Without the community inolvement, we would be limited to much smaller scale endeavors with limited production values. Instead, we have top notch music, awesome decorations done by people who care, and a clean venue at the end of the night so that we get asked back in the future. Extra special thanks to Anni, Mason, Otto, Jack, James, Dakota, MOPcrew, Uncensored crew, the glow vendors, Jake, Bobblehead, Grady, Aaron Robinson, Bair Hunter, and the first timer who swept the whole place and then tried to tip me for going above and beyond and making this the best birthday EVAR. You can expect more events like this from The Rift in future and we promise to raise the bar each time. Cinder and the Lizzard play all over the world and said we have one of the bext scenes in the country. I tend to agree. Much love

Awesome space, awesome security, awesome sound (besides crashing with each other at times), awesome promotors, awesome crowd, awesome lineup=mass winningly great party.
Sad I was so fucking horribly sick that I could barely dance and had to leave early but good times were still had.
Looking forward to more events at that space especially more psy events.
I had to leave towards the tail end of Dan Efex but he was throwing down an amazing set in the mainroom. Prob my fav set of the night.
Fav set of the small room was Caustic man you threw it down shit was fucking awesome and it was packed.
The 2nd main stage to me was having wayy too many sound problems I couldn't stand it. But Andy's set was awesome from what I heard and im not usually into progressive psy that much but... very awesome.
Glad to have a good amount of people from Iowa/Ill/WI show awesome to have you all out.

Great F'in Times! Great music, Great people, Great Deco, Great venue, simply Great F'in Times! I have found a new appreciation for Neuro after hearing the unique and dynamic set of Brain Lizard and Cinder Vomit! These guys have a great stage presence and great personalities, which totally enhances the quality of their twisted Psytrance style! i loved it! and DanEfex is also the man! so awesome to have such a talented man here in the Midwest.... we definitely hope to bring him to Iowa whenever we get our next event in order... perhaps Spring? what a great event! Thanks to Nate, Pandemic, Anni, Mr.Re, Derek, Carli, and everyone else who helped make it happen! Thanks again, -Abe

this was a really positive gathering, worth the hassle and 7-hour drive in my opinion. deco was great, especially loved Jeff's mushroom-looking sculpture and glowing mosaic. we got a little community alter going in front of the stage that I really liked the look of, along with Carly and Derek's always-wonderful tapestries and fabrics. the vibe was kickin' starting at like 8pm, and I was sober all night getting my mind blown all over the place. best set of the night on the main stage was a toss-up between Dan Efex and Energon I think. Derek, you just keep getting better and better man, you totally rocked that final set with some beautiful rejuvenating melodies as the lights were turning on. get me a CD of that plz! highlights in the second room for me were Ando doing his AWESOME psychedelic progressive tech-trancey hybrid and Psychohazzard with the twilight psy. I also got down to some dubstep, jungle and booty house in the third, smallest room. all in all, great night. I would love to make it down to MPLS again sometime. this definitely felt more like a rave than most psy events do, but for once, that didn't cause any problems that I saw. pretty much everyone I saw there was friendly, courteous, and there to have a great time. great to see all of the psy family, happy birthday Nate! love+light, Leo

I had a great time and so did my friend Paige. The neuro was my highlight. afterwards i felt like i had gone through a meat grinder and pressed through cheese cloth.
It was great meeting friends again as well as putting names to familiar faces. it was well worth the 8 hour round trip drive. The sense of community i have experiences at other events was definitely reinforced at this party and i'm glad to be a part of it!
Paige has some pictures, i'll have to snag them when she gets back in town after thanksgiving

Good to know you guy's enjoyed the set. I'll post it in a few days. As for the party, it was a lot of fun. Boo on bad power sources. Yay for stacks of speakers. Double yay for a three hour mind melt session. Kudos to Nate and Felix. P.S. Throw my next birthday?

This was definitely worth the drive. You know the sound system is loud enough when you can feel the wave hit your chest when the kick drum hits The music itself was kick ass too. The venue was huge and I liked how the 2nd stage was a bit cold to cool you off from the intensity of the main stage

It was so cold in that room in the beginning. There was also a fan blowing on me

First time I've been in the state of MN... ever. I had a great, but exhausting, time and loved the chance to play in front of that wall of turntables. (confusing though it may have been, lol) We got up at like 6:30am to get there for setup so we had to take a nap in the middle of the night... as such the only sets I really caught were Mike's and Ben's but I loved both of them. Great meeting Cinder and the Lizzard, awesome guys. Thanks to everyone who took the initiative and helped out with setup and breakdown... most appreciated. Finally.. running an event is fucking stressful, period. Huge thanks to Nate and Felix for having us up there, working with us through the power / lighting issues, and maintaining relatively cool heads throughout the night You both rock.
