Join us for post-Halloween Dark Psychedelic Madness where you can expect your senses to be twisted into some kind of strange grey goo that could cause the universe to collapse into itself and could possibly require you to ignore dry-clean only labels.

Featuring over 20,000 watts of sound from Rexroat Sound (Moline, Illinois), over 5,000 watts of blacklight for UV art installations, 16-million color 1-watt laser rig from Ocular Dreams (Minneapolis) and some of the sickest, most twisted interactive visuals you'll see this side of the Mississippi!

Artists:

Panties the Clown (LiVE) - Psybertribe / Those People - Charlotte, NC

Corrupted by psytrance, Sir Panties of Clowntown will be manning six decks and melting faces faster than a bucket of acid. Expect warp speed psychedelic mashups and aural violations of the most extreme sort.

Facehead (LiVE)- Anomalistic Records - Eugene, OR

America's most powerful psy producer will lick the back of your brain with three dimensional sounds that fly through your soul like a runaway train. Weirdness, debauchery, and pure creative energy combine to bring you 2 hours of real horrowshow face melting.

Primordial Ooze (LiVE) - Chilluminati - Chicago/Milwaukee

The Primordial Ooze project was created by DJ’s Kaiser Soze and S.O.T. as an experiment in genetic sound programming and nano-acoustic engineering… Self-replicating and mutating algorithms, swarms of frequencies that collaborate, breed and communicate, flourish in an environment of artificial selection and continual evolution. Currently working on two albums this energetic live act is continuously expand / collapsing their farm of pet-frequencies with various sonic creatures. These lively pets can cause serious mayhem on the dancefloor! But with properly tied shoes, participants are generally safe and happy.

Gnomes of Destruction - Audiognomes - Madison, Wi

GoD is a collaborative effort between two brothers, PsiloPsyBen (aka Earhammer) and Saeros, who strive to bring you the darkest beats in Psytrance. The darkness that flows from the speakers will consume you, taking you to the depths of your mind, twisting it until your ego falls into the primal nature of Id. Super-ego has no place here and GoD wishes to bring you to the depths of your psyche.

The Professor - Meta enTrance - Danvers, IL

Known for his intense, sophisticated and high-energy sound, Professor X is a well respected dj in the Mid-West psychedelic music scene. The Professor is well-known for his captivating aura, attracting people onto the dance floors with his driving high energy orchestration of sound. Innovative and spontaneous, he reads a crowd and spins mental mayhem to amplify the energy on the dance floor, keeping crowds stomping well into the sunshine of the day. While constantly requested to provide boomin full on daytime sets, he has revealed an entirely original dark psy style which infuses higher resonancing.

Ascension - Chilluminati - Peoria, IL

A newcomer to the scene by most standards, Ascension has been djing since June '07. It wasn't until after EarthDance 2007 that he realized psytrance was the only music he wanted to spin. After being on the other side of the decks at a few parties, it's his turn to show the dancefloor what he's got. His love of powerful, high energy music combined with dark, twisted sounds is sure to warp your brainwaves into psychedelic euphoria.

Aktif - Mind Outpsyde - Iowa City, IA

He is a warm and wild psy slinger from the nether regions of the known cosmos. Origionally from the Ukraine, he was "trance"-planted into the dark fields of PsyOwa where he propegates waves of devious and meniacle sonic healing. He bears gifts of swirling psychedellia, wrapped in a myriad of patterns and arrays of soundscapes. He DJs and produces psychedelic trance. He's a perpetual student of life's teachings. He is psychedelic, he is unique, he is funny. He likes things that make him laugh. He likes to laugh, and is dying to meet you!

Agent Hurt - Mind Outpsyde - Peoria, IL

"I'm a DJ. The stuff I play sounds like the stuff nightmares are made of. Any music I listen to has to make me feel. I cannot just listen to pointless garbage, I need music that sends a shiver up my spine. "  Enough said.  Smiley

Zero SiX - Chilluminati - Bloomington, IL

Zero Six has been involved in the electronic music scene since the nineties and began DJing psychedelic trance in 2001. One of the masterminds behind the groundbreaking Illogical Productions Crew and central Illinois' Trance Psyndicate, he continues to break ground with the mythodical and pulsing waves of energy that make up the path to the iridescent dreamscapes created within his internal Department of Psychoactivity. He is also the creator of the Eo Somnium concept group, designed to act as an accessory to The Chilluminati.

Visual:

Mason Dixon - Live Performance Video - Chicago, IL

A dropout from University of Texas's Advanced Communications Theory Laboratory, Mason Dixon, then Sfear Bebopanaut, went to work for a small internet start-up, iChat, designing the first version of Yahoo's chat community. After iChat's IPO, Sfear organized a team of hackers to detect vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems before the 2000 presidential election. After 9/11, Sfear changed his name to Mason Dixon and moved to Chicago, where he now resides as an instructor of Motion Graphics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Mason's professional career includes a plethora of big name clients and he's designed public sculptures and video performances for museums and various large scale festivals. Mason Dixon’s work has investigated the specific subjects of: the moving image as a performance medium; aesthetics and warfare; identity hacking; and public art. In the last 2 years he has produced over 70 exhibitions in 10 US cities. He is currently in production for a new animated feature film, "A Chicago House Story" portraying a story about the invention of Chicago House music through a retelling of Romeo and Juliet.

Ocular Dreams - Full-color laser rig / Deathbeams abound - Minneapolis, MN

If you've never seen their laser setup before, you're in for a surprise.  Full 16-million color laser rig.  Owned and operated by a group who cares about your senses.

"The Historic HUB Ballroom has a rich history of famous and notable performers. For starters The HUB has been traditionally known by the ballroom dancers of the Midwest as the place for big bands and ballroom dancing since 1938. Some of the Big Bands to grace the HUB's stage, just to name a few are Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and his orchestra, Cab Calloway and Lawrence Welk (10 x's and a HUB favorite). While the parents were upstairs enjoying the sounds of all the contemporary big bands, their teenagers were downstairs experimenting with a new sound called Rock 'n' Roll. Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and his band the Crickets, The Turtles, The Outsiders are just some of the Rock 'n' Roll bands they enjoyed. Buddy Holly and The Crickets played the HUB one week before his tragic death in 1959. There have also been a number of great country bands like The Confederate Railroad.

The Historic HUB Ballroom is a charming facility with most of its original character intact. The HUB is famous for its legendary 5,500 sq. ft. floating Maplewood dance floor. There is no other like it in the Midwest in size, feel and character. The new chapter of The HUB Ballroom will be defined as it always has been, by its quality of live entertainment. The HUB will continue to host big band events on Sundays and the original Mexican Family dances on other days, which hasbeen a recent revival for The HUB. Country will have its place as well as Rock 'n' Roll. Something to be added to The HUB this chapter is Comedy, varieties of Contemporary Dance and Urban showcases."

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO THE VENUE BY CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF, AND BY OBEYING ALL LOCAL LAWS AND CUSTOMS.
